Have you ever witnessed the magnitude of women entering a room with cameras on their hips, resolve and expectation in their eyes? It truly is a wonder to behold a circle of image makers who rally to take up their cameras and their pens. This month, we had the privilege of considering the power of these tools with North Carolina University’s Women’s Center. The result was a series of stirring images and ideas created by women who made the commitment to be fully present in the space we created together, exploring how our past experiences and present passions can reveal where our activism lives.
To the amazing women who took up their cameras and pens to explore how activism can take shape in their lives and in the communities they care about, know they we are grateful for you: Carolei Bryan, Joelle Fuchs, LaTonya Johnson, Meron Habtemariam, and Natalie Doan-Dunnum.
Deep thanks to Jennifer Castillo, Assistant Director of the NC State University Women’s Center, mama, woman of faith, and friend of TBP–for tirelessly working to make this day happen.
