At The Beautiful Project, we offer writing and photography workshops, conversations and trainings that support the ability of Black women and girls to create and express themselves using writing, photography and care. 

Metropolitan Museum of Art Exhibit

December 6, 2019 - February 24, 2020

The Beautiful Project will have an exhibition supported by the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Education Department from December 6th 2019 through February 24th 2020 in the The Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education. Pen, Lens & Soul: The Story of The Beautiful Project presents over a decade of work by image makers and storytellers who create spaces for Black girls and women to express their power and beauty.

The Met and The Beautiful Project invite Black girls and young women ages 12 and over to a creative workshop on December 7, 2019 using storytelling and image making as tools of wellness to affirm, empower, and disrupt harmful misrepresentations of Black girls and women.
